Sambal Limo


  • 5 fresh red chilies,
  • 1/2 teaspoon toasted/fried dried shrimp paste
  • 1 tablespoon shaved palm sugar or dark brown sugar
  • 2 table spoon jeruk limo juice (Nasnaran Mandarin)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  1. Grind chilies, shrimp paste, dark brown sugar and salt to a smooth paste in a granite mortar
  2. Add the jeruk limo juice and mix together with the paste
  3. Serve
